P.S. We did actually talk on the phone, and she answered all of my questions without hesitation... I'm not believing everything 100%, since I am a skeptic by nature, but she really didn't sound like a scammer.

I contacted the person behind the ad today. The email links back to Superior Serpents. I didn't find anything bad about them on the BOI on Fauna, but do know that they aren't holding this animal for you. The reply I got said I could come and get him today if I wanted, so if you want that snake you'd better make solid arrangements. A request for more pictures has not yet been returned.

Thanks for doing that! I haven't asked her to hold the snake, since no money has been exchanged... figured it wasn't meant to be, if somebody snatches him/her up before I do. Do you think it's worth pursuing, now that you've investigated?

I have not done business with them, so I can't give a solid answer. It wouldn't hurt to go see it, since they didn't have any negative feedback on the BOI. Your best bet would be to go see the snake in person at their place and see how it looks. Make your decision then.

Yeah, that might be a good idea... I don't have much to do next week anyway, so it would make for a nice road trip!

Update: We've been playing phone/email tag all week, and still haven't managed to connect. Annoyingly, she was only 10 minutes from my house tonight, but I got the email too late to catch her... so at this point, I'm thinking it's just easier to drive down there. I'll let you know what happens, if anything!
