I Don't Think Not Sure If This Is The Right Thread To Post This But...

Anyways I got a Pastel Boa and he is so stressed out! He eats fuzzys F/T and strangles the rat makes it bleed and then leaves the rat and slithers away hissing! I have him in a 28qt even though he is a 09 baby! I got hide water dish aspen as a substrate heat is around 89-90. I don't know what to do! He strikes when I open his tub it's crazy! I know boas are suppose to be grumpy when babies but he is a mean snake and there is no controlling him!

    Help!

    Are you watching him eat?
Leave him alone. Chances are he's getting stressed out because your hovering over him and he's too nervous with you around to eat.

Sounds like something may be irritating him. Try lowering the temp down a degree or 2. I have seen on rare occurences that some of the babies don't like it as hot as others. Also how long have you had him for? Also one thing you can try is using t-rex double milled cypress mulch, what is the humidity you have him at? Is the hide sufficent for him?
