Smile **L.A. & Miami Locals** LA/Miami Ink Question

So my wife and I watch the Miami Ink and LA Ink series whenever we catch on the tele. I got to thinking, has anyone here been to either of the shops? Most likely you all living around the Miami or LA area? For a place that seems open to the public, I would think it would be packed with people seeings the shops are part of a television series.

Has anyone ever been to either shop? Can you just walk in? Do you see the usual cast or are there different people working when they arent on camera? Is there a waiting list to get work done there? I don't know, bored, just got me thinking.

I haven't heard an update, but I know Raul (West Coast Jungle) has been to Kat Von D's shop on LA Ink, and they actually was either going to put him on an episode or he was in the running to be on an episode for long time. I am sure he can shed more like on the LA Ink shop. I like watching both shows as well, there are so many cool stories that go with alot of the tattoos out there.

Had Garver from Miami Ink hit up my Neck but it was when I was tattooing at Hart and Huntington here in Vegas not at either of the shops on the shows. I am happy with it it was a design I drew up and he only changed it by adding color to Jesus eyes I'll get a photo up soon.

I had a buddy who went down there to get a tat and it was completely different artists. The only time Kat and the others are there is for filming(that's what he was told at least). I could understand this, them being celebs and all.

Thanks all. I'm not looking to get a tat btw. I was just curious if the shops were ran how they were perceived on TV when the artist have reached celeb status. As stated earlier, I have a feeling they have 'stand in' artist when they are not on film.

Re: **L.A. & Miami Locals** LA/Miami Ink Question

I was gonna be on the show and had several interviews but the tat I wanted was gonna take too much time for the what they had availible so they ended up turning me down.

The artists on the show are not at the Hollywood location full time. There is a staff that works there most of the time and they are there mostly to tape the show.
