I'll tell you what, wrangling a single snake for a photo is nothing compared to trying to keep multiples in one spot. Every time I turned my back on these two that black girl would head right towards me. Eventually I figured out to walk backwards to the camera after I positioned them.

Now I'm just waiting for our chrome head to have a nice day and throw him into the mix for a group photo. Nothing says metal like black and chrome.

I thought it would come out looking pretty nice, but it actually came out better than I expected. It's also pretty cool to see some of the differences between the two species. Both those snakes are about the same size, yet the Brongersmai's head just seems to dwarf the Curtus.

Really?? Wow. I was actually going to ask how old they were because at first glance the curtis looks like a giant next to the brong. Positioning and camera angles are tricky things.

Yeah, I had noticed that too. I decided it's because the black is stretched out where as the red is doubled up. I had tried getting them into a similar position, but the black girl just did not want to curl up, and the red girl wouldn't straighten out.

One thing I really like about that Curtus is how the black goes almost all the way down to her belly. Most of the black bloods I've seen have that white creeping up pretty high on the sides.

Not really unique, but here's one of our other Curtus girls. Good example of the white creeping up the sides that I was talking about.
