Re: BP Vs. Cat
If my ball and even a large house cat got in a mix, I have no doubt my ball would kill the cat, however the fact is that balls are very peacefull and passive ( mine being the oddity) so I believe a ball would only kill a cat if A: not being fed properly or B: Self defense.

Re: BP Vs. Cat
I'm not sure a ball would kill a cat even in self defense. From what I've seen in my collection, they're more likely to strike and curl up into a ball for defense than strike and coil for a kill.

Keep 'em seperate the way a responsible keeper will do, and never find out. That's my advice.

I think Socks would win...

Seriously, the cat's gonna win every time. Keep 'em apart and it'll never be an issue.

I have to agree with this. BP's won't even fight rats in self defense that are chewing hole in them...

Why? There's no reason a responsible person can't keep various kinds of pets and do so safely for all concerned.
We have a boa certainly large enough to kill our cat. That's one of the many reasons Tequila is kept securely caged and when she, or any snake for that matter, is out for handling the cat and both dogs are secured out of the room.

Ah don't worry about it. As long you keep your snake in a secure enclosure. I have 3 cats that goes outside everyday and hunts, bringing home mouse, birds and even snakes. At first they were like "what the eff is this" then they got over it and completely ignore it after while.
