Sometimes they will lay an infertile clutch, even if they've never been paired. And corn eggs can be tricky to feel. I would still just leave her be for a day or two and give her peace and quiet to get them all out.

Lots of info on breeding corns. If you're serious about breeding them, I can't recommend Kathy Love's book. It's a must have. You can get it from Amazon for not much $$

Kathy Love said shed send the book for $16 when she called.

But yea so far 4 eggs and looks like one more will be out later today. How many times in her life should i expect these slugs for the hell of it.

I want to breed corns which is why i got a 1.1 pair of albinos. But the pythons are first since thats what i know and love.

Oh and Kathy told me that Bill might have me in a Q n A section in the reptile magazine which is cool.

When i get the corns bigger so i can get larger clutches ill more than likely buy her book to read up on the hibernation cycles.

I've had it happen twice, but with the same girl. The two years I didn't breed her, she laid slugs. She was just always primed and ready to breed, even if I wasn't. So I don't have an answer as far as if she'll do it again.

Her book also has tons of other great info as well. Even if you're not breeding for a while, I still think its a must have for anyone who owns a cornsnake. Whether you own 1 or 235, its awesome. I've been keeping corns for 16 years now, and I still reference it several times a year.
