Re: How to weigh a wiggly snake?

I guess we'll need a pillowcase when it outgrows paper plates, eh?

I just give them a tap on the nose and they usually curl up for a bit

I have a bunch of these 6 quart Sterilites around the house, and I use them for everything. Just drill a few holes in the top and they are perfect for temporary snake containment (e.g. while cleaning tubs) and weighing. They cost around $4 a piece at Walmart.

I tried that with Mona, and she just ignored me...

I used the pillowcase trick tonight, along with a bowl, and it worked okay. First weighed the pillowcase (65g) and then tared it with the bowl, so I just had to subtract the weight of the case... that makes her about 1895g on empty.
