Re: Getting a new snake at Daytona, need serious advice

If I were you - I'd just go with my list and buy the hottest example you can find of one of them. If you go and you say "I want a pinstripe", but then you find a screaming enchi for example, do you just bypass the enchi?

    Yeah, exactly.

Gonna need to do some more researching and using the search here to make sure I have a good eye of what to look for in each morph. Weight is a factor too, would be nice if I get a male if I can get him up to weight in time for this coming season.

Keep the advice coming. I really need clarification on how butters and lesser platinums interact with my current morphs.

If I go with a less expensive morph, say an Enchi maybe and have some cash left over do you think a male spider would be a good addition? Or only a male spider say het for albino or ghost or something else cool? There are just so many awesome spider morphs I want to work on. Or would another female be a better investment? I'm not really sure.

Damn ball pythons, so many awesome morphs and so little money and space! Can't ask for a more beautiful addiction though hehe.

I hope an enchi isn't a less expensive morph, at least not a screamer. I've seen enchi's that I couldn't tell it was an enchi for $100, but I wouldn't pay even $100 for one like that.

Expect to pay $500/$600 for a screaming enchi (like in my avatar).

For me personally - when I'm adding morphs, I was the very best example of one that I can find. I'm willing to pay more to get a finer looking animal, the best of the best. In the end, I know that quality begets quality when breeding. That includes the normals that you choose to pair up with your morphs.

So it's almost daytona time. Got about 600 (if some things go well I may have around 1k to play with). Looking for some good last minute advice. I am. Gonna get an absolute screamer (probably a male) of one of the following:
    lesser
    butter
    pinstripe
    enchi
cinny (or maybe just a pewter)
albino (only a really rocking high contrast one, doesn't quite fit in with my breeding plans but I've always liked them and there is always cool stuff to do with them)
or an axanthic that really catches my eye.

Now in addition to price or other advice can people post some pics of prime examples of these morphs? Just want another set of pics to look at besides Nerd's site.

    Well pics-

High contrast Albino (in shed, sorry)-

    SK Axanthic-

    Good luck at the show!

if it were me id get a butter and a pinstripe. also if u see a breeder with some smokin pin and butter offer him the 600 for them both. alot of breeders give u discount for multiple snake purchase. u could do alot with what u have.expecially down the road

Yeah I am always looking for deals when buying multiple snakes. But i'd really like to get some more pics of great looking animals

For your pin + lesser do you mean both male or female or just whichever I can get?

i would say males. theyll be cheaper and u have some nice morphs to breed them with expecially that spider. u can also breed them w ur normals in hopes for a girl and hold her back for future breeding. just my opinion but ultimately its ur choice.
