    Re: New BP owner

I would ditch the whole tank idea after it grows out of it and just stick with tubs. It is very hard to keep humidity levels in glass tanks. I use one for my green anole, it needs to be very humid for them. To get the enclosure to at least be up to par I would need to spray 5 or 6 times a day. My heat bulb is 65W, your bulb-of higher wattage, will dry that tank out very quickly.

This leads you to have to make the enclosure very moist, the moisture can lead to "deadly" bacteria growth in your tank, and can cause your snake illness. You guys should just go to Walmart and get tubs, they are four dollars and will work out very well. Also, get small UTH to place on the hot side of the tank. In the 10g, using a heat lamp, you will not get the proper thermoregulation process taking place because the bulb will simply warm up the hot AND cold side.

Ps, I voted for Really Bad, lol. Sorry

From his eyes is does look like he's going into or is already in shed. The quality of the pictures are really bad though, lol.

Then yes, he will be shedding within the week. Up your humidity and give him some space.
