well to start off hello everyone....i am very pleased to become a member of this site. i have learned alot ever since sign up. i have a bp as well, he is a few moths old and is growing pretty quick. i had a really quick question.....i thought pythons normally do no eat when about o go into shedding. the other day i had just got done feeding my bp his 2nd mice (after the 1st one he went in the box automatically were the mice was) so he is done correct,so i gently put him back in its habitat and watched as it made its way trough. ok so i know you are suppose to leave the bp alone for 48 hrs tops after feeding.the bp had goten in its hide, so here comes the 48 hrs and im patiently waiting so i can pick the snake up well i noticed in those 48 hrs it had been hiding the whole time. i thought ok thats weird, so i took a close look were it was and shined my light and there he was blue and dark as it is, eyes all cloudy. i was kind of shocked, it was pretty amazing of how quick it went to sheding mode as soon as it downed the 2ndmice. but other than that my bp is gentle as far as behavior.
Welcome to the forums
Nice looking snake, but I have a question why are you feeding it 2 mice at time? If it is not getting enough substance from one mouse why not move to something a little bigger instead of increasing quantity?
