    Herald snake eats a pinkie

I have a video of a herald eating a pinkie
The quality is pretty bad but it is the snake eating the pinkie. I have one of the only CB animals in the USA. Timm Smith has more than me. I get my stock from him! These 'lil snakes are a force to be reckoned with! Thier rear fangs are substantially larger in porportion to thier heads. they know they have a rear fanged venom. I am not saying they are dendroaspis polylepis deadly btu I think they deserve a bit of caution. Mine grabes the pinkie as you will see in the video holds the mouse and chews for quite some time then positions the mouse to be swallowed.
Here is a picture showing the rear fang

    And here is the video!

I really like how he looks. How big will he get? Do you handle him?

Nobody has really studied it yet.

They do have a relatively large venom gland in proportion to the size of their heads.

Bites have been reported as medically insignificant - which doesn't mean anything because of their inefficient delivery system. One of these days some one will get around to studying Crotaphopeltis hotamboeia venom and we'll have a better idea as to it's composition.
