Re: Wont be running out of room anytime soon!!!

Thanks everyone! We actually have the rodent building finished this week and its up and running with air and electricity. And I was shocked to find out it really does not smell to bad. The floor in the rodent building is concrete. We bombed it before we moved the rodents in there to try to make sure there wasnt anybugs but I doubt ill be able to stop them completly.

The reptile building will not be able to house snakes until we get our tax returns back. Im going to install a central heating and air system. And we are going to insulate it again. BUt its going to run about 5,000 dollars to do that. So for right now they are in the house and ill get a pic of the new reptile room this week and post it up. IM sorry I havent been around but its been really hectic moving everyone.

I know that Tim Bailey keeps two tokay geckos in his rat barn to take care of bugs. They've done such a good job that he has to dump crickets in there every now and then. Once you know the residual pesticide is gone (once you see live insects) that might be something you may want to consider. They just free roam in the rodent building. I thought it was a very creative way to do control bugs naturally!

We use Tokay Geckos. Actually they are in our snake building, as our rodent room, oddly enough, hasn't accumulated a roach problem as of yet.
