    First ever Corn Eggs!

Another first for us this year. So far, we got our fist ever Nic Boa babies, soon we will get our first ever Kenyan babies, but this post is about our first ever Corn snake eggs. I don't know if I can handle all of this excitement.

4 years ago we bought 2 female corns. The next year, I bought a pair of Corns. This year we finally bred some of them and got our first clutch of eggs from our Hypo Lavender male breeding to our Candy Cane female. In theory we will hatch all normals that are triple het, but in corns, sometimes they carry some genes we don't know about. So, this clutch may turn out interesting. Even if we just get triple hets, I will probably keep a pair just to see how much fun their eggs would be to hatch.

    Thanks for looking,

How lovely she is! How many eggs did she lay? What's the weight on a corn snake egg?

Ooo... she is a pretty girl! And even triple hets can be fun in corns. Lotsa luck with that clutch!

Congrats!! Amel and hypo are fairly common hets, so who knows what you'll get. But I'd hold back a pair, too. Triple hets are fun with corns because they can throw so many eggs so you get such a grab bag of hatchlings

Thanks Joe. I have found a whole bunch of fun projects, I just haven't been able to buy them all yet. This one has been fun though, that is for sure.

Thanks Jo. She had 9 eggs. I am not sure what they weigh, as they are all stuck together and too hard to pull apart, but if I had to guess, I would say about 15-20 grams.

Thanks. I actually have a shot as some Quad Hets next year. This is why corns are so fun. I can't wait until Ball pythons start getting to the quad het arena on a regular basis.

Thanks Matt. I will probably keep a pair of these, and a pair from my 2 other females when they lay eggs.
