There's a drum circle every sunday at the beach out here and every once in a while one or two of your guys show up and play. It's pretty cool.

If you ever get out here it's every sunday afternoon. Sometimes there are 50 or more drummers and close to 800 people watching and dancing.
It's pretty cool.

I used to play tuba in the high school band, I could make it sound JUST like a didge. I should buy one and see what I can do.

Go for it!
Although be warned that the lip vibrations you use are completely different. Brass instruments are played with really tight lips while the didge is played with really loose lips.
I was speaking to a trumpet player in a music shop that said after so many years of playing trumpet he just can't relax his lips enough to get a proper drone.
Once you do learn and get circular breathing down it becomes very rewarding.

I was not very good at the tuba
If you play the tuba with lose lips it sounds like a didge.
