    Unrolling a shed

    Hey guys,
I was just wondering how you unrroll a shed? I would be afraid that I would tear it or something. Do you get it wet or do you just leave it as it is? (no out of context please lol).
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Once it's off the snake? Do you want to see how long it is?
I've done it before, I just went slowly. I believe it was a little damp for some reason.

    Re: Unrolling a shed

Normally if I get it before it dries, I just carefully unroll it. If it's dried, I just chuck it and wait for someone else to shed. I have a stack of whole sheds, because so many kids(and not so kid) have wanted one.

    Re: Unrolling a shed

I usually do it after they shed. If its really dry then you can run it under some water or mist. I unroll a lot of my snakes shed to see if they shed mostly their eyecaps properly. I hate retained eyecaps and I'm pretty diligent with making sure they came off especially with snakes that have retained them before.

Just watch out when you unroll some of them. Some snakes like to leave a stinky present in the center of that shed roll.

    Re: Unrolling a shed

Soak the shed in water for a few minutes. It should soften right back up and be easy to unroll.
