    Educational "shows"? help..

When I move, I want to offer low cost educational "shows" or birthday party stuff for people/children/etc about snakes.

This is what got ME into snakes, i want to do the same thing for other people, especially children, but im not getting an entire petting zoo. I want to focus specifically on snakes.

I have almost no idea how to go about doing this. I'm having trouble finding info on any licensing i would need, or additional insurance. I'd only be showing my ball pythons at this point, and only the animals i "trust." I eventually plan to expand my collection to other pythons (maybe boas as well) that can be kept by a single keeper (ideally they'd be rescues but who knows at this point). So, balls, carpets, childrens pythons, etc.

Can anyone give me a push in the right direction to find this?

If it matters, the area i will be in is the DC metro/MD or VA area.

This doesn't exactly answer your question, but I am aware of a group that already does that in the DC area. They might be a source of information. Another possibility would be working for them instead of independently.

contact your fish and game people, and ask them what permits you need to exhibition and sale(often the same papers),as well as ask them the questions pertaining to the insuarance and such
