Jarrod Greer, Bad Guy
Just my experience with my first snake purchase.
Armed with my "Ball Python Manual" I set off to our local monthly expo here in Kentucky; hopefully to pick up a new addition. I arrived to a much smaller show than I expected but decided to look around.
There were a lot of ball python's, most CH (like the one I purchased) of course. The only CBB I saw were overly priced morphs, and one normal, who looked quite sickly. So after looking around, seeing most of the BPs housed in huge bundles in rubbermaids or housed in very tiny tupperware, i understand thats the show, just what I noticed.
But then I saw some BPs in some nice display cages and handled by a man who seemed to know what he was doing so I decided to pick-up a little guy I had my eye on. I was in a rush to get home so I neglected to ask more questions, which I regret now.
I come to find out through multiple e-mails that this BP came through Jarod Greer, and the guy who actually sold me the snake did not know all that much about the snake.
Here's where it turns sour:
I chose to join the online EKRE forums under the name "Nicili" and promptly sent a PM just asking about the hatchling's feeding record to Jarrod as he is both the admin of the forums and the owner of the expo.
I come to find out tonight that my account "does not exist" anymore, to my confusion. I have since re-registered and re-sent the message and tonight I did a little BOI search and found out he has treated others badly in the past.
So just explaining my expierence, I don't know if I will ever be heading back to the local expo again.

Was it one of Jarods snakes or did this guy resell one of Jarods snakes?

Re: Jarrod Greer, Bad Guy
It was one of Jarrod's that were in this guys display cases, a weird kind of joint operation.
To me it wouldn't be such a big deal if he would at least reply to one of my messages just let to answer a simple question, the snake is fine so far, hes just seems to be acting a bit immature about the whole situation.

Are you un happy with the animal is there something a-miss with it??..I'm confussed as to why he's a bad guy.

Re: Jarrod Greer, Bad Guy
What I get from the OP is that he is upset because he did receive any feed or husbandry info. I am inclined to think that most flippers don't keep info on the snakes they flip. In most cases the animals aren't in there care for very long before they are put up for sale. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Jarrod Greer, Bad Guy
In my opinion. I think you should still go to the expos. I would if there was a monthly one in my area.
I hope your snake turns out to be a good one.
If you run into this Greer guy, confront him. Ask him about the forum,etc..

That would have been fine if he just let me know for sure, I understood this when I purchased a CH in the first place, I just was upset that I cannot get in contact with him after numerous messages, and he is always active on the forum which I re-registered on. I feel ignored.

No, nothing wrong with the snake, I just wanted to know some information if he even tried feeding or not, its the fact that I tried communicating with him and I got ignored and account deleted. I am not trying to blow this out of proportion, but just to let people understand my situation.
I will take this with a grain of salt I guess. I don't want to make enemies within the show, so I won't go further than just posting a bad expierence.
Thanks all.

I kinda know jarrod I used to attend the shows myself and have bought some things from him. I think hes an OK guy, he's got a lot on his plate. but I agree he should reply to your messages. as far as the show goes there are several really good guys that vend there. so don't take it out on the show. even if you don't like jarrod I still think the shows are a good thing.

Re: Jarrod Greer, Bad Guy
I have no idea who this person is however I kind of fail to see are someone is a bad guy (title of your thread) for not having the record of a CH animal that was not even purchased from him directly.
The person who sold you the snake should be the one with the record and to be honest most CH animal purchased at a show are not likely to have records even more so coming from a flipper.
To me a bad guy would be more like someone trying or that has ripped you off.
