Thats actually a very good strategy. I volunteer at a Humane Society and thats what we tend to do for litters, and it works out well to know who's who and which animals came in together etc. Plus its nifty

We do that at Canine Assistants (we train service dogs). All the litters are themed - cartoon dogs, cities, universities, golf litter, reindeer litter, etc.
