    It is always better to feed one item of prey rather then multiple ones. If you are feeding her an adult mouse and try to give her a small rat she might not take it. The rat might freak her out because of the size. If the store you get your mice from breeds their own see if they have any retired female breeders.
    I have a 1200+ gram female that is a mouser and that is all she has ever eaten. She will not even take a very small rat. I am assuming it is the smell of the rat that does not appeal to her. It does not affect her health and she is not growing any smaller then one that will eat a larger prey item.

    These are from just a day or 2 ago. One more question for you, lmao! How many boy and girl mice do you think we need to breed? We have 1 momma, who had 7 babies last saturday, we fed the daddy.

    i dont breed, there is a great section here in the forums dedicated to it. but i think they usually go 4 males for every female and they rotate them in.
