thermostat is on the highest part...i took the thermomstat off and just plugged the uth in the outlet. It's a reptitemp 500R. The cold side is 79...hot side (if u call it hot lol) is 80
i hope its not broke
Edit: it went up .2 degrees in the past 30 mins

I would take it back to wherever you bought it. Sounds like its a dud.

The first heating pad I ever bought a few years ago didnt work Hopefully they will let you exchange

Hi,
If you can test the heatpad plugged directly into the wall socket ( not while it is attached to the ank if possible ) If you have already taped it in place then sit and babysit it to make sure it doesn't get hot enough to burn the snake.
If the heatpad works ok it's the thermostat - saves the embarassment of taking the wrong thing back. Done that a few times.

No its the heat pad...theres another thermomter by it and it reads 80. So its the pad
