Re: Woma vs Spider
Well, turns out the woma is a male, and the spider a female, if that helps at all. The female spider defiantly fits into my plans a little more, but I'm not apposed to wannabees down the road. minimum, like 4 years for those, though.
2.1 Pastels - ED, George, Ailia.
1.0 '08 Poss. Het Albino - Norm
0.1 Proven Normal - Ragani
On the way IE when I have the money:
0.1 Albino
0.1 Spider
0.1 Mojo

well, apparently you can because neither my spider nor my killer have wobbles.
The OP wants bees, so I posted her to show how awesome they can be. Womas suck IMO, go with the spider

I hate how people always say all spiders have wobbles. This is not true and the snake can grow out of it.
I have personally never seen a woma morph that i have liked.
Spiders all the way hands down.

Re: Woma vs Spider
Easy Tim, I purchased a pair of womas this year and they don't suck. But I'll side with you on the fact that my bumble bee don't wobble.
Well, back to the original post, I'd recommend getting the spider female. Looks like you could use another future egg layer.

I will withdraw my comment that womas suck just on the fact that I have never owned one. Spiders still rock.

I would think a Woma produced from a line that carries the gene would only have a chance at carrying it, not a guarantee?
Can someone explain this?
My understanding is that the hidden gene woma's have specific visual markers, while the ones without the hidden gene do not. I do not know what those markers are.

Not even the Woma Lesser?

And I personally believe that all spiders have a degree of wobbling, from barely detectable all the way to trainwrecks.
All three of mine wobbled quite a bit as babies, and if I put them in your hands today, you'd swear that they are non-wobblers. But watch them late at night, exploring their enclosures, and they all have "quirky" movements that are unique to them, that none of my other animals display.
I hate more that people have vilified the wobble, instead of educating people that it does exist, that it's not life threatening in 99% of the cases and if you love spiders, it's part of what adds personality to the spider gene.
Just the slight head tilt to the side that you see in many spider pictures, like a puppy looking with its head turned at an angle at you is a very, very minimal expression of the spider wobble, IMHO.

Re: Woma vs Spider
Robin,
Those woma lessers on NERD, are they regular womas? Or do you need the hidden gene for Woma x Lesser to be expressed like that? If thats what happens without the hidden gene then I eat my words on saying they don't produce combos with a wow factor.

I third this. Spider!
Womas have some cool combos, but IMO do not look that great by themselves. Spiders look awesome by themselves, and have awesome combos...

I would also take back my comment about womas if this is just a normal woma x lesser breeding. But knowing NERD this is probaly a hidden gene woma x lesser.
I still have yet to see a good woma combo.
