Question?
I was wondering why you do the sexing via the external ventral view as opposed to using the interior shot of the molted skin?
Just curious.

Everyone who said male is correct. The patch of black hairs above the epigastric furrow confirms it to be male. In the the micro shot you can see no lady parts. Thanks everyone for playing At least if a few people play or want to learn I don't feel like a complete dork for posting these things-lol

Indeed.
I had no idea about he patch of black hair - I was just going by the size of the abdomen.
But if I had seen this in the close up shot I would have changed my mind;

I am trying to learn how to sex them as accurately as possible by doing the external ventral way for my own information really. Just to learn something new. Microscoping the molts is getting eaiser for me so I am trying to learn this way also. It is hard to do accurately so I will always micro the molts to be certain.
The molted skin is the BEST way to do it IMO. The little ones I micro and the bigger molts you can see with the naked eye.
I think Derek It just boils down to I really am a dork-lol
