Tank tops (no not shirts)
After seeing so many people on this forum struggle with maintaining proper temperatures and humidity in tanks (seems to be about the number one issue here) I can't help but think there may be a market for tank tops specifically designed for the BP keeper.
I have been playing around with custom made tops for a while now and have come up with a great design. I never struggle with temperature or humidity in my tanks. I wish that was true for my racks. In fact, I can change the temperature and/or humidity to a desired setting, in any given tank, just by slipping on a different top (very handy for a snake in shed). I would need to get around $40 or $50 apiece for them to make it worth my time. What do you guys think, would you buy one?

For a tank top? 40-50 each? Nah. Not at all. May as well buy a rack and tubs. If you arent keeping proper temps or humidity in your rack, you probably need to check if your flexwatt/heat rope is the proper size for the temperature of the room. As well as, if you have large enough water bowls, or the proper substrate to keep humidity where it should be. Or also proper ventilation.

I didn't say I wasn't keeping proper temps and humidity in my racks. I said it was easier to maintain them in my tanks.

I have Freedom Breeder racks. And I love them. I think you are missing my point.

Re: Tank tops (no not shirts)
I would have a hard time paying 40 or 50 dollars for a tank top, but then I don't consider my BP's to be display animals. Maybe if I only had one snake and I wanted to keep it in a nice looking tank then I might consider it. But I would probably tend to find a way to do it myself before I spent that much on a top.

The Op was not asking for advise about her set up she was asking if anyone would pay 40 or 50 bucks for a tank top.
