Just a little something to remember. The process generally takes about 105 days from start to finish. Boa people know that a litter will come about 105 days after ovulation. I know they have live babies, and Balls have eggs. However, it is pretty accepted rules of thumb that a Ball will shed 14 days after ovulation, lay eggs 30 days after shedding, and the eggs hatch 60 days of incubation. 14+30+90=104. With that said, I will relay my next story. I have a female that lays 21 days after POS every year. However, she takes about 21 days to shed after ovulation. So, at the end of the day, it is still approximately 44 days after ovulation that the eggs are laid.
The developmental stages pretty much take the same amount of time no matter what (although temperature can play a role in the speed of development, and can alter the amount of time by plus/minus 5 days). The "outward" signs, shedding, laying and hatching will still generally all add up at the end of the day. In my mind, this is why it is so important to try and keep track of all dates. If she laid 22 days after POS, go back and see how many days it was from ovulation to shed. Just my theory on what might be going on.
I hope that wasn't too confusing,
