Re: Fat Boy Hand Update
That is too amazing!! Congratulations and best of luck to you. Can't wait to see what you could do with it once you have mastered it...
Is it difficult to "learn" and how does it feel to move the hand, as opposed to your other hand? And were you planning on getting one of those "skins" or just leaving it how it is?
I can't even express how impressed I am after reading about the iLimb. Few years down the line I bet they'll improve it even more. A decade or so and you won't even know when someone has a prosthetic.

I caught on to working it in about 5 minutes. I have to use my mind to make the missing wrist move up and down, which in turn makes my forearm muscles flex. Sensors set on top of the muscles and when I flex the wrist up, the hand opens, when I flex the wrist down, the hand closes. The feel is nothing like a natural hand. I am going to get the skin glove but it takes a few monthe to make. They say it will look just like my other hand. The iLimb comes with a 3 year upgrade contract, so for the next 3 years I can upgrade free to the newest technology, who knows where they will be in 3 years!
