    Surprise... surprise

I was on the phone with a friend yesterday and my gravid females were brought up so I remembered my Blackback was 30 days POS (post ovulation shed) and decided to check on her. I was shocked to find her sitting on four healthy eggs and two that are about 50/50 (yellow in some spots where candled). I suspected her to slug out and she shut my mouth up. And laid 6 eggs. I expected 3-4 slugs.

Then another surprise came. Two friends were on their way to my house and I checked on my other gravid female (who is 27 days POS) and there she is sitting on a clutch of 6 eggs. I didn't get a shot of her on the eggs. I believe all her eggs candled fertile.

So this was my days total...

First time I had two clutches on the same day. I'm pretty happy about that.

QUESTION!!!! Why is there a yellow spot on the ones candled? I am sure you know not to use an actual candle for the process am I correct?

I'm assuming its like part slug. That is one of the eggs that candle 50/50. And I used a small LED light.
