But the rules also say that the person has to have taken the picture which was entered which was not the case in this situation...
It's like you handing in a book report written by someone else, but the book they used was owned by you. It doesn't quite fit the criteria.

It's just one of those things. I loved the picture, too. And kudos to the member for stepping up and letting me know something was amis!
It wasn't fun to pull it...but it would be unfair to all other contest participants to knowingly allow a major rule to be broken.
We have had (and probably still have) some members that get their animals professionally photographed for some astonishing pictures. It's just not fair, nor in the spirit of the contests, to allow such pictures to be a part of them.
