    Re: ShipYourReptiles.com

I shipped a 5lb (actually 4.7 but you have to round up) box from CA to IL and it was $57

Saved 23.41 (thats what they tell me)

Dont know if that is true or not on the savings, but it was the exact price that I thought it was going to be.

What are their cost to ship on average? Fedex seems to run from $55 to $65 on average for priority overnight. I think high shipping costs turn some potential buyers away. Jason Bowden

I have shipped a large snake that was 60 and the small snakes I have shipped have run in the low 30's or high 20's

hmm... more than i thought, but not a bad deal for someone that doesn't want to deal with fedex i suppose.

now that i'm actually in regular contact with my rep, i'm loving fedex.

    Re: ShipYourReptiles.com

I am gonna ship using them on Monday. My FedEx account wanted $56 and SYR quoted $40.

Basically you are getting the same discount rate as a company thats does lots of shipping.

Thanks for the positive feedback Pat. I am even more confident now

Yeah, I think the ease of it, and the discount make it ALL worth while.

Oh I am still in the process of doing that, trust me, I just like the fact that it is simple as a pimple right there and then.

Flamethrower did not say that they open his package. They likely just asked him what's in the package, because it says Perishable on it, or because it has holes in it. A lot of UPS / FedEx drop off locations will not accept any live reptiles. I have had the same problem with drop offs, so I just have them pick up from my house, and have never had any issues. It only cost an extra $4 a package to have them pick up. I don't mind to pay the extra.
