You need a thermostat. If you don't have something controlling your heating elements, your snake will get cooked.
Thanks or the help and the website!!! My brother and I just bought a JohnsonThermostat with night time heat drop built in and a new rack with built in heat and a therm gun. Thanks again!! The stuff should be here by the end of next week so I will post more pics as soon as we get it all set up!! I am excited!!

Just so you know you really don't need to use the night time temp drop feature unless you are cooling for breeding purposes. If not you can keep them at a constant temp night and day...82 cool side and 92 warm side, give or take a 2 degrees.

Well it depends if your snakes are baby or juveniles there hot spot should be at 85*F if its a sub adult or an adult it can be around 90*F....the humidity seems fine but try to increase it when in shed to 70-80%...

I/we (My bro and I) do plan to try to breed when we feel comfortable that we have the temps just right and when they are old enough. Hence that is why we opted for the built in night time temp drop. Thanks for the info though we appreciate any help we can get. Do you breed at all??

I haven't bred my animals yet, I had a female to breed this year but I sent my male pastel on a breeder loan. Hopefully next year

Cool I never heard of that. Do you get paid for that or some babies? Sounds like fun though. I guess that is kinda what my brother and I will be doing since he will be in NC and I am in PA. I would like to breed the pinstripe and the spider and the pinstripe with an albino. I bet they would be so cool looking.
