    Re: Yellow Belly?

just guessing, but i'd say normal. no "flames" on the sides, no really defined "checkerboard" on the sides of the white belly.

i'll take pictures of mine in a day or two and post here for comparison. i'm having a hard time trying to figure it out myself, yb's are very subtle when comparing to a normal...

yours does have the head dot though...

I guess the most important question, did you buy it as a yellowbelly?

That's what I was going to ask. It looks like a normal with some (kind of) yellow belly-ish characteristics. If you bought it as a normal and think it looks kind of like a yellow belly, I'd say it's a normal. If you bought it as a yellow belly from a proven ivory line, I'd still say it looks like a normal that could be a bad looking example of a yellow belly. I'm not really seeing it, though.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

    Re: Yellow Belly?

I bought it as normal with bunch of other females. But the guy who sold it to me thought she was a good dinker and thought she could be a yellow belly. I'll breed her this season see myself.

    Re: Yellow Belly?

    That is not a YB.

Interesting normal, but I do not see anything yellowbelly ish to her. Even the belly is not checked like a YB.

If you breed her, breed her to a known morph and invest that time in a guaranteed project.

Hang onto a male that looks like her (or has those markings) and breed him back when the time comes if you want to see if she has anything genetic going on.

    Just my 2 cents.

That's what I was thinking about. I will do that, thank you.
