Re: Jon Levey of Jon's Jungle buy with caution

I have said it before, but it bears repeating. When people go into business, like it or not, there is a responsibility they take on to provide their customers with quality service. part of that service is communication. Not only is a lack of communication bad, but trying to b.s. your way through a deal is even worse. Obviously this guy either thought you just fell off the turnip truck yesterday, or he just blatantly didn't care that he was jerking you around. Either way, there's no excuse for it and it is totally unacceptable.
As for you "slamming" him here, I don't see that at all. What I DO see is a consumer who obviously tried to complete a transaction in a timely manner, put ALOT of faith into a company who promised to provide quality service, yet failed to do so. You objectively stated your experience without being judgemental or inflammatory. You showed class and integrity in stating your case the way you did.
Rather than coming here and sharing his side of the story, the delaer decides instead to text you and accuse you of slamming him in public. This just further reinforces your side of the story and shows this is definitely someone who should be regarded as "shady" at best.
I'm glad you got your snake and didn't end up getting ripped for the money.

    Bri

Jon has posted on the BOI thread of the same name that I had sent the funds to him later in the week so I'm posting up screen shots of my online bank statements that contradict him

Re: Jon Levey of Jon's Jungle buy with caution

After looking at his BOI posts I have to agree. When he has posted it's pretty much him saying something like "i'm sorry, will ship right away". It seems that the customer service aspect of his business leaves lots to be desired. That's a shame since people seem to post that they got high quality animals from him whether he bred them or not. Tim seems to be the only one who has posted anything to back up what he is saying. It's enough to make me stay far away.

Re: Jon Levey of Jon's Jungle buy with caution

Royal Morphs I appreciatte you posting this info.

I tried to make a deal wih him and he agreed, I was to pay a deposit for a Pied at a great price wich was agreed upon.
When I had the money to pay I emailed him and never got a reply. So I took my business elsewhere. Sad thing was I was going to make the mass majority of my purchases from him because he's got great prices and is the closest breeder to me in SoCal. Ive spent $20,000 in the last 6 months....thats a lot of business he lost. I still would like to give him a chance later on, but I'm nt so anxious anymore....I hope he gets it together.

Just further proof of who is right and who is wrong in this whole deal. I'm on Tim's side all the way. This guy is someone I will never deal with, that's for sure. Good job Tim. You done good!

Thank you don't give up on your SOCAL breaders you have so many. Heather's Herps, West Coast Jungle, The Reptile Image, And Royal Morphz themselves(Ill have little ones this season) there are more I know. Also I must say Jon has never given me a animal I wasn't happy with. This was mainly on his communication and that is enough to sway smaller customers. You may still check him out at shows He has a wide variety of stuff.

Re: Jon Levey of Jon's Jungle buy with caution

Well guys at the most recent California show Jon and I spoke and both offered apologies. I think the one part I most wish to have changed(other than posting up this thread in the first place) is that I wouldn't have labeled him as a Bad Guy. Jon has always taken care of me through out every purchase. I have to say I jumped the gun on this thread. I should have taken a breathe and spoken with Jon when I had cooled off. Jon thank you for excepting my apology and I hope to talk to you in Jan. at Pomona.

Big Gunns was just gonna post this. BG spoke with Jon about this whole mess a while back, and he just spoke with him yesterday. Jon said that you came and apologized to him. That was big of you. It's even bigger to admit it on line.

Let this be a lesson to everyone about "jumping the gun". Sometimes in business things don't go exactly how you would like them to go, this doesn't mean everyone needs to run to the BOI and get the "snake police" all riled up. BG has seen it happen too many times. The BOI should be a last resort, not the first.
