Palpation after ovulation

After an ovulation, should you still be able to palpate the eggs? I have a female ball that ovulated last week on the 14th of April. I am new to breeding ball. I have bred boas for 4 years now and this is my first season for balls. After my female had a noticable ovulation i palpated her and can not feel much of anything. I know the eggs can be hard to feel seeing that they get soft after an ovulation, but should i still be able to feel them? She is still tight through her abdomen, and hasnt eatin since Jan 14th. She looks gravid to me but I guess I am worrying alot. Any info might calm my nerves some...

Some people like to shake their Christmas presents to see if they can guess what's inside. Doing so doesn't actually change what's in the box. And if the present is fragile they may actually break it.

If your snake ovulated then she is going to lay eggs. How many eggs she lays isn't going to change by palpating her after ovulation. And if you're not good at what you're doing you might do more harm than good (e.g. break what's in the box).

I'm more of a "leave em' alone" kind of breeder. Palpating the snake after they ovulate isn't going to change anything. To continue with the metaphor, consider just waiting until Christmas morning. It's more exciting that way.
