    clutch size

Is there any rhyme or reason to getting a larger clutch or is it just a 50/50 type thing.

Certainly the size of the female would come into play as to how many eggs she'll lay.

well I already know that but the preferred weight is 1500g and I've seen 1600g snakes lay just 3 in a clutch, and a 3000g lay 13. So what I am trying to get at is... That if the husbandry is perfect, the larger the snake(as long as not over weight and unhealthy) the greater chance of a larger clutch?

    Re: clutch size

I had a 2800 gram female give me 8 eggs last year. This year my first clutch came from a 1600 gram female and she gave me 7. I'd love to see how many she lays if she gets to 2800 grams. Also had a 1400 gram girl last year only give me 4 eggs, so in my opinion I have to say size is good, but some females make better breeders than others.
