    Yeah you did.

You could have inherited a sick snake, and a whack of vet bills as well. Lots of people will not touch CL or Kijiji snakes unless they come from a breeder.

Oh, I should have clarified. I did not get my Ball from online. The guy was a friend of a family member. He knew alot about snakes and the BP was healthy, he just didn't have the time for it. (He got a new job that required lots of traveling and had no one to care for the snake.)

In regard to the ad, I see it as a $500 snake with a tank thrown in. (Seems logical). I guess I can see how some people would see it as a $500 tank with a snake thrown in. (seems kinda odd.)

The lucky comment I made was just referring to the fact that I got my BP for free whereas some people have to spend $200+ for a normal.

It is sad, but people will argue about the price of a tank, and the snake become secondary. I say this having adopted (and in more than a few cases rescued) snakes that the owner haggled over the price of the enclosure but the snake was not a concern.

The enclosure usually ends up on CList for around 20.0 - 40.0 bucks. You ever need HUGE tanks, let me know. I got a storage room full of them. I can barely give them away.

And if it sounded harsh it was not meant to be.

My first snake Ash, a sweet normal male was a newspaper adoption. Best 50.0$ I ever spent. He passed (too many years of bad husbandry to be fixed) but he taught me everything I ever needed to know about BPs and 45 snakes later he is still my best boy.

Glad you got a good snake, and glad he got an attentive keeper.

    Nothing like a new snake.

But, but dunkin donuts are real! Not those microwaved ones Tim tries to pull off as legit. See, we gave you the best of the donut world, and in exchange you gave us "we say it's never older than 20 minutes, but sometimes our supervisor isn't looking" coffee.

I am such a hi-jacker but... my first trip to FLA years back... stopped into a DD.

    "May I have that donut?"

    "That donut?"

"No, the donut beside the donut with the cockroach on it if you please."

But you guys have Chock Full 'O' Nuts. I would kill my neighbour for a can of that. Ok, I just need an excuse, but the coffee would be a nice incentive.

Re: call me cheep but don't these seem a little expensive?

I'm in Ontario, and haven't found normal BPs to be crazy expensive.
I got my guy, with a 36x18x15 tank, secure awesome lid, giant water bowl, and two pieces of baked hardwood driftwood for $310, about $350 after tax.

The snake himself was only $90, and from a good breeder within the province. Captive-bred, super tame, eating f/t. I am very happy with him. 8]
