    Re: Funny story

    Very funny Nate.

I'm gonna throw out a bit of personal opinion. To me, snakes are mythological creatures. In many peoples heads you can not get any closer to a living dinosaur. (Even though it's actually birds) With all the fear and hype surrounding snakes it's easy to see how people will pass on bad information as good facts not knowing the wiser. Not everyone is a construction worker either, and some people are just too incompetent to learn how far something is. This woman obviously needs to get up in the morning and face herself in the mirror. She needs to ask "Who are you trying to impress?"

Neal, so many people out there are idiots (the pessimistic side of me is coming out) it's up to you to choose what you believe and what you don't. This was a given, she's a liar. Everyone has different ways of doing stuff and even if it's BS I usually let them think what they want. Funny, sorry about the rant.

Yea I know it was bull, I know the snake record lol. Then to top that off, when I stopped at McDonalds to get something to eat, the guy asked: what kind of snake is that? I said a Python, he said is it venomous? LOL.

I live in louisiana. It's been in the 80's. Right now its rated at 79° and feels like 81, but its cloudy and has been raining some today. With sunny, its in the 80's, and my snakes come with me pretty much everywheres. The local burger king lets me take my snakes in there, Subway, the Tattoo shop, and just other places aswell.

At least they didn't say poisonous.

The one that gets me (and saddens me) is when people hear we keep snakes and will come out with "oh yeah I used to have a burm but I got rid of it because it got too big". I have to bite my tongue and NOT say, "and what did you expect a burmese python to get other than big, you raving idiot!"

    Re: Funny story

Yea, I remember a few months back when I first started taking my snake out a girl wanted to hold my anaconda, and she's like what type of snake is this? I said you want me to be honest, and she freaked out and handed me back the snake, and I said its a cobra. The reaction on her face was priceless, then after a few minutes of her being freaked she just held a "cobra" I told her it was a baby anaconda, but her reaction was still priceless, she was like don't those snakes get like 50 ft from the movie? LOL

    Re: Funny story

I remember the story I made up which was soo effective in making my nephew's nanny leave our household the next day.

I caught her knocking on the afrock's cage (a VERY BIG NO NO for me). I was like, "He doesn't like it when you do that". She asked me, "What happens if he 'doesn't like it'?" (and knocked on the cage again!...I can already hear the afrock beginning to hiss).

At that point, I was pissed but still keeping my poise. "Oh. He just gets so mad he flexes his muscles to break the cage and chase you out of the house. That is his 5th cage already".

Next day, I heard the nanny sobbing to my mom, saying she wants out coz she kept on dreaming about my rock python "breaking out of his cage and killing us all in our sleep".

Looks like my bluff worked TOO well coz we got another nanny who does NOT knock on the snake cages.

    Hehehehehe

A burm can grow more than 9 feet by a year old. With power feeding, not very healthy but it can be done. I know it for a fact.
