Spider wobble or spin question....

I've never seen an albino with a deformity.

I will not agree that there is a high percentage, but here is a deformed Albino that I hatched three years ago. Last year the same girl gave me three perfectly healthy babies. It died half way out of the egg, and was severely kinked for the last 2 inches of the body.

Sometimes it'll come and go, sometimes be worse....other times you hardly notice it. It's there, and just something that one has to live with regarding spiders (as far as we know). As long as the parents don't exhibit extreme wobbles or laying upside down, and the spider you are interested in currently doesn't do it too much, I would imagine it would be manageable throughout its future.

Excellent question, and one I have often pondered. I have hatched close to 500 Ball Pythons since I started in this craziness, and that is the only severe deformity that I have had go full term, and actually stay alive long enough to attempt emerging from the egg. As I stated, the same breeding 2 years after that animal, produced 3 Albinos with 0 deformities.

i just got my '08 male spider last week end. i never had herd about wobble or spin before reading this, but what exactly is the spin? cuz i have noticed when im holding him it looks like hes trying to do a back flip with his head. he doesnt do it alot, but just neve had any of my other snakes do it before.

that's part of the "spin" in spiders. See earlier in this thread where another member posted links to other discussions on this issue. Punchline: Unless it's affecting your spiders eating or health, don't sweat over it.
