    Re: Too fat to work...

    that is just wrong.

I've been a bit heavy all my life, but I don't blame genetics. There is a guy like 2X the size of one of them and he works at Wal-mart driveing the floor buffer. There is NO excuse for letting youself get that big!
and look they can all stand just fine, so they can work.

I am happy to say in the last 3 months I have gone from 200lbs to 170lbs, All I did was cut back on the sweets. I am now the skinny one in my family (not counting my husband who could eat straight fat and still be a twig)

    Re: Too fat to work...

Kudos to you on the loss, JamieLynn! It's not easy, but well worth the effort. I'm not happy that I haven't lost weight yet, but at least I haven't gained anything either.

That 'can't work' thing really ticks me off as well. My good friend and next door neighbor is much larger than those folks are and just started a new job as a catering chef at a 4 or 5 star restaurant! Talk about active. But yes, there are also a lot of jobs that just require sitting that I have seen many large people doing. Grr...

    Re: Too fat to work...

wow. if i calculated that the 1 stone = 14 lbs the girls weigh 238 and 252 i weigh 250 and i dont look like that? on another note. in my opinion anyone can work as long as they can stand / walk. i knew someone who weighed 400 lbs that was a cashier at shoprite, and another one who was over 300 lbs who used to work for a cable company around here. theyre just lazy imo.

This is what happens when you have socialized medicine (universal healthcare).

Nothing to do with universal health care. Has everything to do with fat lazy people.
