I grew up with a pet monkey. I don't think I'm disgusting. But then, that's just my opinion. Pet monkeys are fairly common where I come from.

I think it's bad enough to see animals like that in zoo's looking all sad and depressed...but then again I do have 2 pythons in cages in my home so that probably makes me a hypocrite.

No offense, but that doesn't make it right.

What kind of reptiles and other pets do you keep?

I guess it's safe to assume you have no monkeys...

Cheetah's make great pets, I petted one at a game farm, I trust the cheetah more than that horse he calls a dog lol. I'm not sure what he feeds her (kudo or springbok meat) or how often but she is truly a magnificent animal

So, you're saying, we were wrong for owning a monkey? I wonder why... when monkey and family are all happy, and everybody else I know who has one are great keepers as well. I guess I better place a call to Cameron Diaz letting her know she's disgusting...

are we wrong for owning snakes as well? how about the parrot? what's the difference exactly? so... where can I find this list of okay-not-okay things to own?

or, maybe you just don't know enough about monkeys and the people who keep them or the monkey-keeping hobby in general? just wondering...

It's kinda ironic when ye of the snake world come up in arms against python trade bans yet make blanket statements about monkeys.
