    Re: BallPythonZone.com

Unless you put a disclaimer such as "photo being used with permission from XX", then it is assumed that all animals you have pictured on your site belong to you.

The moment a photograph is taken, it is copyrighted.

When I went to your site, other than the big Sisco watermark on the first one, I would have presumed all the animals on your site belonged to you.

Were I you - I'd take them all down.

Website hell, your reputation. You'll quickly find that this hobby has a loooong memory, and those who lie cheat and steal get nowhere fast.

It's okay to admire animals others have produced, but to take and use their photos is a no-no no matter what hobby you're in. Heck, I would have thought that with something like that, morals would have stepped in and said it's not okay to steal. Period. Under no circumstances. Never. Gettin' through?

    Re: BallPythonZone.com

It's not just the pictures you have posted that were misrepresented.. You probably shouldn't have posted the video that proves you don't know what you are doing.

Breeding isn't something you should just jump into because 'everyone is doing it'. My advice is to get some actual experience under your belt. You JUST got your first BP and from what I have seen already, I would NOT trust you to provide me with a healthy specimen if I was a prospective buyer.

You have "all rights reserved" on the front page of your site.

Do you understand what that means?

And your "donation" link to paypal...

What exactly are people donating too?

    Re: BallPythonZone.com

I think the lesson here is posting someone elses pics, misrepresent and mislead which = a liar.

This is what the community will remember and think about you. Not good
I see many people call themselves a reptile or BP breeder(on websites, forums and avatars) yet they have never hatched an animal.

As with anything in life you need to learn to walk before you can run or you will hurt yourself.

I had someone using my photo's on their site and Reptile Geeks page. They were in Germany so I guess they thought they were safe but the internet knows no geographic boundries. I contacted th RG and they were removed along with a bunch of other photos that werent thiers. In the long run you do more damage to yourself than good.

If you want to be a reptile breeder that is great, but like in any field, you gotta pay your dues like everyone else did before you

    Re: BallPythonZone.com

I think the site-owner was just over-enthusied, and didn't think he was 'stealing' anything but cool pcitures to decorate his website with.
Now that he KNOWS it's a wrong thing, and a major misleading to use morph pictures he doesn't own, hopefully he'll clean up his website.
For the site owner. I'd post a apoligy, and if you want to show pictures of animals you WANT to produce one day, then you should contact owners of such animals and ask permission to use their pics to decorate your site, and make sure they are noted as animals you do not own.
The video you have up of your WC bp shows you do not have a proper set up, nor do you understand how to properly acclimate and feed a import.
When you eventually do breed, you'll get all normals with the snakes you currantly own. DO you have plans of what to do with the hatchlings?
I hope you get it all sorted out, and research a lot more before you get into trouble over anything else. Don't try to be a "bigshot" online, and be willing to say "I'm a beginner, but I'm sure enthusiastic! Can you answer my questions?" and you'll go a LOT further!
I hope everything works out and that you have good things happening with your snakes.
BTW: It's illegil to ship snakes via USPS. Might want to rem that too.

I don`t know who this Ball Python Zone person is, but he certainly never received my permission to use any pictures from my website. For the record, the pastel pic he`s using is mine. Who ever you are please remove MY picture from YOUR website.
