Re: Someone's offering me a piedbald for $300... could it be a scam?

Anyone want to buy a new morph? It's called the pirate ball and is wears an eye patch with a pirate hat......the super form has a parrot on it's shoulder. Just ship $400 to me at blah blah blah alabama. This is just to cover the shipping and clothing for the animal so he feel good while being in his cage instead of on the high seas.

Oh p.s. this is not a scam I can send photos to anyone that wants them.

    Total bs......

Re: Someone's offering me a piedbald for $300... could it be a scam?

Believe it or not, a lot of people actually get tricked into these scams, my parents believe it all the time, they are old school and new to the computer thing, so when people come across these scams they think its just the natural way of ordering things online.

I sell a lot of things on craigslist when I dont need/want them anymore. I get several scammer trying to get my info and willing to pay double. A stereo system I was selling for $200 or best offer, they said they need my info to send someone to pick up the item and deliver it for them, and that they'll send me a $400 check for my time/troubles. Be careful everyone. scammers are everywhere, they'll try to get money or your info anyway they can

Yea, any free classifieds is a good way to get scammers.

If its broken english, or from .uk or whatever, I tell them I am not interested in selling to them.

Because, first of all, people who have a million dollars know the value of those dollars and would be hard-pressed to lose money on an obviously awesome snake. And second of all, if a millionaire would feel so generous as to give away a pied, they would go spend the extra $300 for the shipping, transport box and month's supply of food as well.

So, $300 for shipping and a month's supply of food... 4 rats for $200. Oh wait, I forgot the box... So 4 rats for... Oh what the heck, $100. That's for $100 for a box that must have been lined with a row of cubic zirconia... But even if that pied eats Russian Dwarf Hamsters, that's still a bit much...

    Now that would be funny......

On a side note this reminds me of a friend that got took for some repair work on a car. He had to take the car back and was charged $200 more so I told him before he paid to write this in the little "for" box.
