So I have been shopping around for a boyfriend for my female pinstripe, since I'm hoping to breed her next season. For the longest time I was set on getting a smoking male pastel to take a stab at bright lemonblasts (which I LOVE), but I've not been able to find any older male pastels for sale that meet my standards (of course many 08s are nice, but who knows if they'll brown out!). I would want a bold yellow male that retains those colours, so I could make bold yellow lemonblasts and not the dinky brown ones I see sometimes.
So, I've started looking into other possibilities in case I can't find a pastel male that catches me. The jigsaw (pin x mojave) seem kind of neat, and I love nice mojaves, but I don't know how they age. The kingpin (pin x lesser) is also pretty cool, again don't know how they age. I'd like to stay away from the spider morph because of the wobbles thing, so spinners are out (don't really care for them much anyways). What do you guys think? Are there any pinstripe crosses that you really dig? I was trying to come up with something that maybe hadn't been done yet, or hadn't been done much. I don't think pin x woma would be very interesting, and probably pin x cinny wouldn't be either. What about pin x black pastel? Albino pins would be awesome but would take a while to produce (darn recessive traits!). Hmmm...any ideas? It's so exciting thinking about all the possibilities, but it makes it hard to focus and choose, hehe
