Hola, and Welcome to the Forum!!
As Sallysmom said, with experience, comes confidence andsoon after you let your animal settle in... She is an adult, but she is in a newsituation... So again; wait the on the 3<+ consecutive meals before handling her again; if she is in shed, good, it isbest to leave her alone; Bump up the humidity to 80-90% (100%) … not wet but moist air; watch temps but if regulated by a reliable thermostat, you should be ok (lower your stress), but i would invest in a thermal gun as well for surface temps chks; for abient i would go cermaic bulb, if you want your pretty red light, go for it, but BPs dont need the light to be happy; substarte in a glass = paper towel, i would go coco-nut husk or aspen as some ppl use. These are veryhardy animals when they are adults, and if husbandry is all done the right way,you should be able to relax. Once you get that 3rd meal in her … if she has agood temperament already as you said, you will have to practice restraint onthe handling lol ... trust I know you LOVE HER! I love my spell and want tohold her every day!!.. but I can’t .. and that’s why I bought my other snakesto pass time between handling sessions.. lol .. so maybe another snake may helpease your stress…
All I will say iskeep up the good work, take notes of everything your animal does, from sheds, refused meals, poops, etc. all of which I am sure you are aware of.. there isalso an app for that … but for a glass terrarium, IDK if you have done thisalready, it will be hard to keep humidity in so covered a portion of the top ofyour tank’s screen lid (if it is screen).
I used to spray but then invested in a fogger… I gottired of filing it up and switched to a rack, where the humidity is almost asstable as can be and as your collection grows- if you that is your plan – yourgoing to get another snake eventually … It will happen and you will be happyyou have it already set up and running. but once the sickness sets in and youfind yourself looking for your 2nd snake, you will be prepared
would love t see some pics of you animal
