hoping you caught it in time? I could be wrong, but I think the redness is from the old (stuck) shed skin coming off this time around, as when it stays on
you typically don't see the redness at all (that's the blood supply and it's cut off by the constriction of the stuck-on shed). Now it's inflamed because the
circulation is suddenly there again...sure hope it can heal & maybe the vet can help ensure that it does. The tail tip of a snake is a bit like our feet are to
us: the slowest to heal because the furthest from heart (poorest blood circulation). That's why it doesn't take much to cut off the blood supply to the tail
tip when several sheds are left, stuck-on...they cut off what little blood supply there is.
