My husband had out our 9 month old baby ball, and he found a hole in the lining of the couch. My husband yanked him out and this is the result. I called our local exotic vet and he told me if it's just the scales that came off, to put Neosporin on it and watch it closely, but if his actual skin was ripped , he needed an antibiotic shot. I've ever had a snake get injured, so I'm sorry for my ignorance. Does it look like scales were removed or a skin rip? Please help! I want to do everything I can for the little guy. Edited to add he is going through shed now, if that makes a difference. I appreciate any help!
