Why does my ball python do this?
Okay, i have a lemonblast female, hatched in october, husbandry in point, who is always sitting in her hide with her nose or even neck outside her hide. The male who is in a cage next to her, and with an identical enclosure always sleeps in his hide coiled up perfectly, but ive never seen the female like this, when i lift up her hide she is in a strike position always, although she doesnt strike or hiss anymore, right now i walked past her cage and i heard that she shot her head back inside her hide so fast that it scared me, and balled up completely. Idk why she is still so nervous and never seems to be relaxed, she eats every sunday, i do not overhandle her at all, and her husbandry is on point, but she always seems to be alert, even right after feeding her head is always out, i moved her cage closer to the wall so she gets more "privacy" and i even covered the sides of her cage but nothing seems to help, is it a phase? I know she is still young, and she is very small still, so i hope she grows out of it, but i think she should've already
