Built my first incubator! (Pic heavy) A few questions

First off here are a few pics of the incubator.

Well I have the probe on the back wall. Is this good placement?

I have my herpstat set for 89f. I have 88-90 everywhere in the cooler and my egg box ranges from 84-88. It has been running for 24 hrs. Now the substrate is 83 (temporarily using coconut husk for testing because I don't have vermiculite yet) I plan on using egg crate on top of the substrate for the eggs to sit on. How is this for temps. I guess I am asking where should I be measuring the temps and what range should they be. Does the inside of the egg box need to be 88-90? Or just the air in the incubator and the box will be fine?

Thanks for any input. The cooler tips hold steady so far just the egg box may have dropped from me opening too often tonight.
