I think what makes philanthropist, celebrities and whatnot different than average Joes when they pass away is because they leave behind a legacy, much like Paul Walker did. You see, they contributed to society, something most modern people seem to not care about doing, and if they gain recognition, it's because they earned it, whether it's good or bad. And when good people leave society better than when they arrived, they deserve to commemorated for it. Should you stop your entire damn life to dwell on his now permanent absence in society? No, but you should at least be glad he devoted some of his life for making this society a better place. Unlike most of the population, he seemed to actually care about other's well being.
