Usually I let them thaw overnight in the fridge, and then I take them out like 3 hours prior to feeding so they can be at room temp, and right before feeding I apply a little bit of heat until the head reaches 90-93 degrees. Works fine everytime.
Last night I was in a hurry, so I decided to put the rat in hot water to accelerate the heating process (it was already thawed), but I left it for too long in the water... And nasty stuff happened...
