ovy, but pre-lay shed is late?

So Lois, my 2007 pos het lavender female is at 1600 grams, has been breeding regularly all spring, had five big follicles in early April, and two weeks ago she showed clear signs of ovulation: glowing like mad, with a big lump 2/3 down that got very tense and hard. A friend who also breeds ball pythons agreed that it was "definitely an ovulation", and we put the female on egg watch.

So now two weeks have gone by, and there's no sign of a pre-lay shed. Did Lois fake us out somehow? I can see faking the glow, but not the lump. Definitely not both.
