10 years? Based on what information? With the excedtion of a very few animals imported here and there, the majority of imports were brought in between 5 and 6 years ago. The first CBB Canaries were being produced about 3 years ago. Most of the animals that came in were in the 200-400 gram range. I don't know of a single breeder that can accurately say how old their imported Kaufias are. To say all will turn green is an inaccurate statement. Do the majority of them turn? Yes, somewhere between 500-800 grams. At this size their age would be 2-4 years old. Until ALL of them have turned green, the statement is absolutely false.

Another interesting thing about this locale is their ability to shift from yellow to green and back to yellow on a daily basis. I witnessed this in a small adult male I had back in 2003, a couple of years before they were being imported in numbers. At the time, I knew I had something different, but didn't know the locale.
